The goal of our research in the area of Planetary and Earth Science is to extend our understanding of the fundamental processes driving the formation and evolution of the Earth and the solar system, to elucidate mechanisms operating in the Earth´s subsurface and to enable the identification and the efficient and sustainable extraction of vital resources.

The broad grouping across four discrete areas of geosciences within PES enables these goals to be effectively tackled by shared, interdisciplinary approaches to developing and applying novel quantitative techniques.
